2022 Opportunities

What: Read Across America Zoom Storytime Celebration

Where: Zoom, with individual breakout room choices by topic and age group, hosted by VSCC faculty/staff                  (Must use VSCC email to join)

Who: Volunteers can join this live reading opportunity for VSCC families

When: Thursday, March 3rd, 6-7PM

Volunteers must sign-up in advance with their instructors or faculty/staff contacts.

Book Drive

On top: a stack of children's books. Below: A blue box with the following text: Celebrating a Nation of Diverse Readers. Read Across America Book Drive. Who: Vol State Faculty and Students. When: February 14-March 4. Purpose: To provide low income children with a book. Target Preschools: Community Childcare, Gallatin Day Care Center, Gallatin Child Care & Head Start (2 locations). Please drop off new or used books in the boxes inside & by the doors in Wood, SRB (2nd floor), Ramer, Pickle, Thigpen Library, & Caudill Hall. For more details, contact Penny Duncan
