Thigpen Library provides access to videos that educate and entertain.
- Library subscriptions to streaming video databases allow access to videos 24/7. These databases have well-respected documentaries and award-winning films and support the curriculum of the College. Videos conform to accessibility standards. Access is limited to current Vol State students, faculty, and staff.
- DVDs are available from Thigpen Library in Gallatin. Students, faculty, and staff can request a DVD be sent for pickup at any Vol State campus library.
- Vol State Librarians recommend credible and reputable sources for free web-based videos.

The purpose of this guide is to 1) provide information about and help with subscription streaming video databases available from Thigpen Library; 2) inform users about the DVD collection in Thigpen Library; and 3) provide alternatives to library resources by recommending credible and reputable free web-based resources.
