2024 Summer Institute: Let's Try Something New!

 

The 2024 Summer Institute is a virtual professional development event open to faculty and staff from Volunteer State Community College and other TBR institutions. Faculty will leave the conference with practical ideas to implement in their classes next academic year.

Call for Proposals 

Proposals due May 24

The Volunteer State Community College Teaching and Learning Center invites you to share your expertise with your colleagues! We are looking for faculty to lead sessions for the 2024 Summer Institute: Let’s Try Something New. Proposals are being accepted through May 24. 

The 2024 Summer Institute will encourage us to become students of teaching as we learn from our colleagues about new ways of engaging students, using class time effectively, assessing learning, and more.  

Suggested proposal topics include active learning strategies, using technology for engaging students, team-based learning, project-based learning, alternative assessment methods, high impact practices, and/or integrating artificial intelligence into coursework.
