Professional Development & Training Calendar
The TLC is once again providing supplemental funding for faculty to attend professional conferences this year! Each division will be granted up to $1,000 this academic year, with funds to individual faculty members not to exceed $500. Additionally, up to $1,000 total is available for adjunct faculty members from any division. Funding is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
To request funding, faculty members must follow TBR/VSCC travel policy and procedures and obtain approval from their division dean. Once approval is secured, faculty should email the TLC (tlc@volstate.edu) to request funding. The email should include the conference, the amount requested, and a brief explanation of why the faculty wishes to attend the conference and how it will impact teaching and learning in their courses. Faculty are also encouraged to share their learnings from the conference with others in their department and/or division.
Presentations and recordings from Professional Development events during Fall 2024-Spring 2025 will be posted here.
This 15-credit program provides specific pedagogical, andragogical, and curriculum design tools for the higher education environment. The focus is to further educate college and university faculty and those who seek higher education teaching positions.
