Guidelines

• The Learning Commons is your one-stop-shop for academic support. There is a Learning Commons located on each Vol State campus, though services may vary by location. Our services are free and available to all students, including those accepted who don’t plan to attend until the next semester. Our knowledgeable, friendly staff is here to support your academic needs. Let us know how we can help
• Food and drink are welcome in the Learning Commons. Please limit drinks to those with a lid.
• If you borrow items from the Learning Commons, such as headphones or calculators, please return them before you leave.
• The Learning Commons is a great place to study. Please keep the noise level to a minimum.
• We welcome group work in the Learning Commons. Ask our staff to help you reserve one of our group study areas. This will allow your group to work together without distracting other students.
• The Learning Commons often has snack items for students. These are provided free of charge. Please be thoughtful and take only one item.
