The library's guide to videos from streaming and DVD collections provides useful information and also identifies some free web video resources.
Faculty will sometimes ask for audio-visual materials to be placed on "course reserve" for their classes. Contact the library to find out about access to these resources. Request purchases here.
How do I search for specific DVDs at Thigpen Library?
Enter your keywords, such as title of film or a director's last name, into the library's advanced catalog search.
The library offers collections of videos in both streaming and DVD formats. There are numerous films available at Thigpen Library to support film and other courses that require students to view videos. DVDs are available for 2-week checkout to all patrons.
Numerous DVD titles are available to support film and other Vol State courses that require students to view select films. DVDs are shelved on the 2nd floor of the Thigpen Library and are available for a 2-week checkout. Many of the Browsing DVDs were kindly donated to the library by members of the Vol State community. A large number of DVDs are suitable for viewing when you need to take a break from your academic endeavours.

AVON includes films from Sony Picture Classics, A&E Television Network programs, and thousands more videos from reputable and well known publishers. Alexander Street's products are curated, discipline-focused, primary-source collections, websites, and streaming media for learning and research.

Digital Theatre+ provides a rich collection of resources designed to elevate the study of Theatre and Performance, with new content added to the platform on a regular basis.
