    • Librarians are typically available Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Gallatin campus.
    • Library Specialists can be found at the Springfield, Cookeville and Livingston centers. Please call or email prior to your visit to ensure someone will be available to assist you.  
  • Chat live with a librarian 24/7. Look for the blue chat bubble found on all library pages. This service is available every day except for Thanksgiving and Christmas

Research Guides

The library provides resources that faculty are encouraged to use in course content as tools to support student learning, including our program and discipline-based research guides. Faculty are encouraged to link to these resources in eLearn.

Guides for specific courses (e.g. "OPH 105") and College programs (e.g. "History") are available to help students and faculty identify recommended resources for research.

Citation Guides

NoodleTools is Web-based citation management tool for MLA, APA, and Chicago styles provided by Vol State. Register while login to your Vol State account to connect NoodleTools with your Vol State sccount. Use the NoodleTools Research Guide for easy to follow instructions. Go to libguides.volstate.edu/noodletools
