Library Instruction: English Curriculum

Information for Vol State faculty and students on instructional services available at Thigpen Library.

Overview

The Library Instruction English Curriculum was developed to provide a "scaffolded" and streamlined approach to teaching research to English Composition students. This curriculum is to ensure that all students have the proper foundation for college-level research and to minimize the occurrence of repetitive sessions across English 1010 and 1020.

Individual sessions may address only some of the learning objectives below, depending on the nature of the assignment.
