Student-Athlete Academic Enrichment Program

Student-Athlete Academic Enrichment Program

We are excited to be able to continue offering the student-athlete academic enrichment program.  This program's primary purpose is to provide student-athletes with resources to help ensure their success in the classroom, on the court, or on the field.

Student-athletes should use this time to check in with academic coaches, seek assistance with coursework for which they need help, utilize computers/printers, conduct internet research, and study for tests.

The academic success of our student athletes is important to us, and the demands on student-athletes are great. We are here to help you stay ahead of your academic requirements.

To promote an environment more conducive to study for all students, we respectfully ask that you abide by the rules and guidelines listed below.  Failure to adhere to these rules and guidelines will be reported to your coach and to the Athletic Director.

  • To receive credit for your hours, you must sign in and out with a Learning Commons staff member and remain in the Learning Commons.  Failure to do so will result in “0” hours credited for the study hall session.

  • Arrive prepared by knowing what assignments are due and what you need to work on during your study hall session.  Check in with an academic coach or tutor when you arrive. We are here to help. If you have no assignments pending/due, work ahead!  Per Coaches – no credit will be given toward study hall hours if you are not working on class assignments.

  • Headphones/earbuds may be used, but the volume should be kept at a level where it does not disturb others.

  • Do not leave your trash for others to discard.

  • Remember that other students are here to study as well.  Be respectful by keeping noise levels to a minimum.

  • No congregating in groups.  If a teammate is helping you with an assignment or you need to work on a group project, please see a staff member for access to a group study area.

Remember, the Learning Commons staff is here to help you succeed in your coursework.  Let us know what you need from us.
